REFLECTION

Experience
The overall experience has been a blast but also chaotic at the same. This module has certainly thought me that typography is not just a tool that deals with letters and picking random fonts but it is a form of art that can be expressive and beautiful at the same time. It requires patience and attention to such meticulous or minor details in order to achieve a proper typography. I was a newbie and I still am but I know that typography is not something that can be mastered within a day. I have acknowledged that typography is just as important as a part of our daily lives. It is a form of language and without them we would not be able to communicate.

Observation
Throughout my observation, visual communication is the key to bring an impact to typography where a lot of adjustments need to be made no matter how small it is. Spacing, kerning, the mood, the layouts and typefaces are all needed to be considered in order to convey the message that we wish for the audience to see through typography.

Findings
During my exploration in typography, spacing plays an important role such as the positive space and the negative space where we have to observe whether it is out of place or not. It is essential as well to pick a suitable typeface with their own personality to see if it fits your own design. In addition to that, what I find it most significant is the text formatting layout where we have to pay special attention to kerning, tracking and paragraph spacing in order to ensure visual harmony. Therefore, it helps to make it easily readable and brings that aesthetic appeal of typography.
